James Schier, a financial advisor at Renaissance Financial recently joined the board of Community Value Alliance.
While receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Marketing from St. Louis University, James served as President of the St. Louis Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma. During his time as President, the organization received the Earl A. Webb award for the most improved chapter by increasing growth 123% and expanding philanthropic activities and the E. Kennedy Whitesett Communications Award by introducing social media and establishing an alumni outreach program.
James was subsequently an intern at Dinan Real Estate, where he assisted in the writing and production of appraisal reports and collected and analyzed data regarding local and regional economies.
In addition to taking leadership roles in organizations like Sigma Tau Gamma, James volunteers for the Jesuits USA Central Province and Special Olympics of Missouri. Now a resident of Soulard, this Kansas native is especially passionate about sports—Cardinals baseball in particular—and loves reading about baseball analytics and statistics.
As board secretary Jim Mosquera commented,
James will bring a fresh, Millennial's perspective to the leadership team.
Welcome to the team, James!
