Rachel Covington - Community Value Alliance
Executive Director Rachel Covington has more than 25 years’ experience as a non-profit professional, working in the social service and healthcare sectors. Rachel is the consummate professional bringing a wealth of expertise in organizational development, strategic planning, major gifts, and board development. Rachel has been in leadership roles for her entire career and is proud to share her experience with the non-profit sector. She held leadership roles at the National Kidney Foundation, Ascension Health, SSM Health, and the Mercy Health. As a consultant Rachel uses best practices in initiating creative changes within an organization and her specialty lies in strategically aligning an organization for the future.
She has successfully raised over $20 million over her career and assisted organizations to re-imagine their vision and mission driving financial results into future sustainability. Building strong boards, thinking strategically, collaboratively, and identifying major giving as key strategies are among Rachel’s talents.
Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree from Stephens College and is a Graduate of the Madison Institute. She received the Entrepreneurial Award from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. She serves on the Board of Directors for Marygrove and is a long-standing member of the AHP and AFP. She is currently serving on the AFP Program Planning Committee.
